Micro lensing artifact /star halo

Adam,

I have a ZWO ASI1600MMP camera which has a sensor that exhibits a microlensing issue on bright stars.
I enjoy both your Fundamentals and New Horizons very much.
I wonder if you have a tutorial that can handle post processing to lessen this affect. I am not sure if you can access
my example but I included the url so you can see my issue.

    Yes, I see the effect in your image (bright star to the right side for example). 
    I have not found a satisfactory solution really. There are some ways to lessen the appearance of the pattern by separating the channels and smoothing out the most offending color. 

    If you want to get super creative... you might consider the technique I use in Star De-emphasis. By making an image that will be substitute pixels... it might be possible to make the right kind of mask to fill in pixels with the right kind of "texture" (content aware like).
