Adam,
I just wanted to thank you again for reaching out to me so quickly regarding my puzzlement on the calibration frame example after you had gone thru the defect mapping in the CC Part 2 Fundamentals video. As you suggested, I went back and watched video 3 and 4 from the Definitive Guide to WBPP. And then I watched them again - lol. It all finally jelled.
Besides helping learn PI, when I start imaging again once darkness comes a little earlier to KY, I am going to make sure I get the proper calibration frames, along with the images whereas I realize I was much to casual about it before.
While I have a ZWO 120 MC camera, I find it easier using the Canon Ra. The Canon is a full frame vs the APS-C on the ZWO. But the disadvantage of course is the Canon does not have the chilled sensor. I spent some time today looking at the various dark frames, and even the 180 sec dark frames did not appear to be significantly different when I compared them to the bias frames - other than an small increase in white pixels. I didn't not analyze - just visually looked at them using Blink. A small amount of glow in the top middle, but nothing like the amp glow of the problem sensor you discussed in video 4.
Thanks again Adam!
Rich
