WBPP Organising Light Frames as One Batch Instead of Separating Them with Keywords

Hi Adam,

I am experiencing difficulty in separating my light frames in WBPP, and it is happening to a lot of my datasets where I used either my ZWO ASI183MC Pro or ZWO ASI533MC Pro. For some reason, it is organising all of my light frames as one batch instead of separating them into their own night stacks with keywords. I have tried using heaps of different combinations of keywords, but it is still doing the same thing.

I am not sure if this is a "normal" feature of WBPP, or if it can be configured to do what I would like it to do. Attached are screenshots of what is happening, and if you would like some of my datasets to examine, please let me know.

Hi Zak,

You have not stretched the image enough to show me the values of your keyword. 

Please generate the screenshots using the diagnostic button (goes to your log folder) and publish all of those here.

Your keyword is IC434 ... but this is in the file name at the beginning. I think this is your issue. If you made your folders (as I demonstrate...just guessing) with the name of "IC434" and some values... it will not work because IC434 is already in the filename. 

This is only a guess..I don't have enough information in your screenshots to figure it out...all I need to see are your screenshots and perhaps your folders (folder names if this is the method you used).

As you suggested, I changed the folder names from IC434 to B33, and they are now grouping correctly. This was indeed the issue. I will have to test my other datasets and see if they work with this method.

I am trying to attach more than 2 screenshots, but it's not letting me so I'm going to have to post them separately sorry.

Yes, this looks correct. 

Just make certain the name of your keyword that you label your folders (in this case B33) is not already in the file name. You can could call your folders Horsey_20231206 and Horsey_20231207 for example. Then you load the keyword "Horsey" for the pre-processing (calibration) only. This would avoid all issues since I can guarantee "horsey" is not in your file name. lol
