Reprocessing Calibrated Data

Before I added a NAS to my home network four years ago, I only saved my calibrated subframes.

Now based on the newer PI tools/processes and my lessons learned of the last few years, I have been reprocessing some of my older data sets.

So I am curious about your thoughts on the "do's" and "dont's", so to speak, in creating new masters...

  • I don't have any particular "don'ts"... reprocessing data will benefit from newer forms of normalization, weighting and rejection to give improved integrated images. Improvements in color calibration might also be useful as well. And then of course... there are all of the AI tools...
