Yeah... the issue is the number of bad frames is a significant number of the good frames...so the integration of the good frames will necessarily have a worse S/N. This is just physics and math. There isn't a whole lot you can do about it. Later NXT…
Do you actually have the storage space on the IPAD anyway? (the 4K videos are large)You may need to download the videos from a non-IPAD device and transfer them.Alternatively I will refund the $20. Just let me know.Thanks,-the Blockhead
Bob... on #7... WHAT did I BXT?That matters...
"Is Russ suggesting.... "Yes, he is..and so am I. It is usually best to operate on the channels individually instead of a tri-color image. When I made the Wizard Neb example- I do not think I was thinki…
I do not know about IPAD...but to download a video you need to start playing it. Then you should be able to right click on it and see an option to download it. Is this what you are doing?
-the Blockhead
Yes. BXT takes into account the relationship between color channels when applying to a single tri-colored image. It is best to operate on the three NB images independently and optimize the results. However, I do not believe *always* was said with su…
Hmm.... I don't. I do not think it is built for this. However... even if you fed it your registered images- I doubt the penalty of "double registration" will be very high. It will ZIP right through the registration part because it is optimized to ju…
Yeah... you really need to use FastIntegration for a data set like this. You need to allow PixInsight to operate on this set in batches so it doesn't do everything in memory. I do have a video on the basic usage of FastIntegration.

Kelly,
You gave me a TIF file. If this is what you are using...it will certainly fail to plate solve because it has no information about coordinates, pixel size or anything. You need to platesolve FITS or XISF files.
Can you please confirm you and I…
Since registration is a post-processing option- you need to make one or both keywords be for BOTH pre and post processing. Then the option will be available.

I can't remember what people wanted for dashes... it might be they are no longer stop characters. The underscores are definite. I was never a fan of having multiple stop characters. Just have one... no confusion.

You basically need to do what you did with your friend again with me.Show me a screenshot of your settings (that fail) and then upload the file somewhere for me to download (watch my video).
It is likely I to will be able to solve the image- but if…
Do not forget what I mentioned about registration!I was just giving an example of M42. If you run two different targets through WBPP (which you can do now)- you need to distinguish between them for registration (which is post processing) by changing…
You are still fighting the convention. Just put underscore characters between any words. No exceptions. Do this going forward and your life will be easier. The issue is that spaces are not stop characters. You have actual spaces in your folder names…
Hi Kelly,
Almost 99% of the time it means your plate scale, focal length or pixel size is incorrect- especially if someone else solved it and you did not. The software will behave consistently for everyone. You need to compare your screens. I can do…
Scott...hmm, that isn't my take. Russ is an innovator. These tools are certainly part of the ecosystem- but nothing that would "put PixInsight out of business." BlurXTerminator in particular is so specialized and deeply "researched"/developed that P…
Hi all,
Yeah, I am not a great one to ask. I do save everything (yes, even the intermediate files. This is particularly useful if I want to make a video, share, or find an error... or redo.
Yes, you would save space... but NOT time. It depends on wh…
